Performer & Designer
Thank you very much for your interest in my work. For close to 30 years I have been playing in the Canadian magic sandbox... in the role of amateur, full-time pro, part-time pro, weekend warrior, author, inventor... you name it. In this time I have performed, and developed a true appreciation for, all types of magic. Stage illusions though... well, they fascinate me. In the endless possibilities of design and function I find myself frequently experimenting with new effects and apparatus, or putting a refreshed spin on the classics of our industry.
I hope you will find my designs inspirational and of some use, and should a particular piece find its way into your own professional repertoire, nothing would make me happier.
Design Process
Concept Art & Storyboard
Each effect begins with digital pen to digital paper. Artwork & sketches are reviewed with clients, virtually, for real-time collaboration & modification
3D CAD Modeling
Considering the clients requested dimensions, the artwork is then translated into 3D CAD models. Final workshop-ready plans are made available in 8.5"x11" print and digital formats
AR Rendering
As part of the final deliverables, clients will have the ability to view their illusion in Augmented Reality, to see what the final product will look like, at scale, in a real-world environment
Workshop Plans
Some of my illusion designs/plans can be seen featured, regularly, in VANISH International Magic Magazine. Other original effects, for license, are available in digital or print form. My 2023 Illusion Design Catalogue, reserved for prospective clients, is available here.
